Doctor’s Villa in numbers

You should not have to negotiate to learn a price

The normal way to arrange this is four weeks of messages, a long consultation and a price that only appears at the end. We built the opposite: every package below is fully specified and fully priced. Add it to the cart, pay, and we start work the same day.

  • 01

Every price on this site is the complete price of the diagnostics, interpreting, coordination, translation and the debrief call.

  • 02

No consultation is required before you can book. One is available if you want it, and it is free.

  • 03

The medical intake comes after payment, through an encrypted form, because that is when your health data is actually needed.

Why choose Doctor’s Villa

We take the complicated part so you can concentrate on what matters.

  1. 01

    Leading specialists and clinics

Matched precisely to the medical question, not to whoever has a free slot.

  2. 02

    Modern medicine

Current technology, equipment and methods — the reason the trip is worth making.

  3. 03

    Time saved

We take the organisation of the medical route onto ourselves, start to finish.

  4. 04

    Personal accompaniment

From the first consultation through treatment and recovery, with one person responsible.

  5. 05

    Confidentiality and service

Attention to detail at every stage, and your data handled to European standards.

What we actually measure

Four pillars run through every package: laboratory, imaging, neurology and genomics. Which of them a package leans on is listed test by test on its own page — nothing here is implied.

  • Red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets suspended in plasma, at high magnification.

    Laboratory

Up to 118 blood and urine markers per package, run in an accredited Korean laboratory.

  • Imaging

CT, MRI, ultrasound and mammography, read on site and handed to you as DICOM.

  • Neuro

3-Tesla brain MRI with angiography of the cerebral arteries, double-read.

  • Genomics

Epigenetic biological age and pharmacogenomics, graded by strength of evidence.

Packages

Start from what is on your mind

Packages are organised by the concern that brought you here, not by the clinic department that happens to own the equipment.

Why patients do this in Korea

Not because the medicine is different, but because the throughput is. The examination is the same examination; what changes is how long it takes to get it and what it costs.

How it works

The whole process, in six stages

Nothing about this should be a surprise. Here is exactly what happens, who does it, and how long it takes — starting with a free consultation, not with a payment.

  1. 01

Before you fly: a free online consultation

Within 24 hours of your enquiry

We confirm which diagnostic package fits your current situation and give you a personal plan for the trip and the examination.

  2. 02

    Arrival in Seoul

    Day of arrival

Your manager meets you at Incheon. A private car takes you straight to your accommodation — no taxis, no apps, no language barrier.

  3. 03

    The day of the examination

    1–2 days on site

Transfer from your hotel to the clinic, where your personal manager meets you and stays with you from the first form to the last appointment, translating every step.

  4. 04

    Results, translated and explained

    1–7 working days, per package

Transfer back to your hotel, then your results: electronically, printed, translated into your language, and explained in person by a physician you can ask questions.

  5. 05

Treatment and recovery, if you choose it

    Only if something is found

If the clinic recommends treatment or an operation, you are accompanied and interpreted for throughout it and through recovery. Whether to stay is entirely your decision.

  6. 06

    After you are home

    Throughout your recovery

Your manager stays in contact for the whole recovery period and coordinates with your own doctor on any question that comes up.

Individual tests

  • FDG PET-CT, torso€1,180

Questions

The questions people actually ask

Why travel to Korea for diagnostics at all?

Three reasons that hold up to scrutiny. First, throughput: a comprehensive checkup that would mean six separate referrals and three months of waiting in Germany or France is completed in one or two mornings. Second, volume: Korea runs national gastric and colorectal cancer screening programmes, and endoscopist volume correlates directly with detection rates. Third, price: the same imaging and laboratory work costs roughly 40 to 60 percent less than private clinic pricing in Western Europe, which is usually enough to cover the flight. What Korea does not change is the medicine itself — the test is the same test.

How many days do I need in Seoul?

For a single-visit package such as Essential Baseline, Heart and Vascular or Hormones and Metabolism: three nights is comfortable — arrive, recover from the flight, examinations the next morning, fly out the following day. For packages with sedation or two on-site visits, including Executive Whole-Body, Digestive System and Cancer Early Detection: four to five nights. You cannot fly within 12 hours of sedation, so never book a same-day departure after an endoscopy.

Which clinic will I go to? Why do you not name it?

We name the clinic in your written confirmation, with its address and accreditation, before you pay the balance or book a flight — you always know where you are going before you travel. We do not publish clinic names on this site because we assign the facility that fits your specific package, dates and findings, and because our contracts are with several institutions rather than one. The commitment we make publicly is about standards: every facility we use holds Korean national accreditation and has an international patient department.

Is the price on the site the final price?

Yes for everything we control: the diagnostics listed, the interpreting, the coordination, the translation and the debrief. It excludes flights, accommodation and treatment of anything found — each package page lists its exclusions explicitly. The only way the amount changes after you pay is if you add tests yourself, or if a biopsy taken during an endoscopy generates histology beyond what the package includes, which we quote before proceeding and never add silently.

Will my insurance reimburse this?

Statutory health insurers in the EU generally do not reimburse elective screening performed outside the EU, so plan on paying yourself. Private and supplementary policies vary widely and some do reimburse preventive diagnostics abroad in part. We issue an itemised invoice with procedure descriptions in English or German, which is what an insurer needs to assess a claim. We cannot promise reimbursement and we will not pretend otherwise — ask your insurer before you book if reimbursement is what makes the decision for you.

I am in the EU. Does GDPR still apply if my data goes to Korea?

Yes, and more directly than you might expect. We are established in Portugal, so the GDPR applies to us under Article 3(1) as it does to any EU company — not through the extraterritorial route — and our supervisory authority is the Portuguese CNPD. Sending your data on to the Korean clinic is a transfer under Chapter V, which is carried by the European Commission adequacy decision for Korea adopted in December 2021: no standard contractual clauses are needed. Your rights — access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent — apply in full, and you can complain to the CNPD or to your own national authority.

What patients say

We are collecting these properly, with consent, rather than writing them ourselves. This section goes live when the first patients have agreed to be quoted.
